Exhibition of big dramatic Naturalistic paintings (1875-1918) on which ordinary people like farmers and factory workers were portrayed as heroes. These paintings were made with help of photographs and the large scenes have subsequently inspired film makers. The paintings, the slow motion fragments of film (like paintings have come alive) and the photographs are arranged on the dark walls in a 19th-century way of presenting.  graphic design: Mariëlle Tolenaar
