2011_SINGER LAREN / Rodin the Thinker
This exhibition celebrated the return of the famous sculpture, after the copy of the museum had been stolen, destroyed and spectacularly restorated. The rooms of the exhibition each covered a different aspect. It started with a life size picture of the damaged statue in a forensic tent. In the next room were Rodin's sculptures that -like the thinker- originate from 'the Gate of Hell'. The following room was about the ± 80 castings that exist worldwide. Followed up by a room which gave insight in the restauration process and finally the statue itself.
